Coastal Medical Imaging is the Sunshine Coast’s premier Imaging Centre, with an ethos of being a world-class, state-of-the-art facility, with an emphasis on patient care and referrer satisfaction.
The Centre was established in 2009 through the vision of Dr Sean O’Connor, one of the country’s leading Radiologist/Sonologist, and Ms Marcia Beaumont, a highly qualified Registered Nurse.
They saw the urgent need for specialist services to meet the growing population of the Sunshine Coast across all age brackets – from babies to the elderly, with their broad range of imaging requirements.
Today, the Centre provides some of the most advanced Imaging and Radiology services on the Coast, including low dose Digital General X-ray, CT scanning, MRI, 3D musculoskeletal and abdominal ultrasounds, as well as specialised pain assessment and intervention services.
The technology, highly qualified staff and broad range of services sets the practice apart from all other facilities. The centre is the realisation of the founders’ vision of providing world-class technology and professional services to enhance the health and wellbeing of the Sunshine Coast’s residents.
Specialist Women’s Imaging
Our Specialist Women’s Imaging Centre is dedicated to meeting the unique health needs of women on the Sunshine Coast in a caring and thoughtful environment.
The sunshine Coast’s only Radiologist with a Fellowship in Women’s Imaging, Dr Sean O’Connor consults and reports from the site with the support of a team of highly skilled and dedicated technical staff. Together, they provide comprehensive examinations for all patients. Our dedicated specialists’ services are focused on providing comprehensive examinations of all patients in a caring and understanding environment.
