Our Story

Established in 2009, Coastal Medical Imaging was born out of the vision of Dr. Sean O’Connor, a highly regarded Radiologist and Sonologist, and Ms. Marcia Beaumont, an experienced Registered Nurse. Recognising the growing healthcare needs of the Sunshine Coast’s diverse population, from infants to the elderly, they set out to create a centre offering specialised services tailored to meet these needs.

Today, the centre is a cornerstone of advanced imaging on the Sunshine Coast, providing services such as:

  • Low-dose Digital General X-Ray
  • CT Scanning
  • MRI
  • 3D Musculoskeletal and Abdominal Ultrasounds
  • Specialised Pain Assessment and Intervention Services
  • Advanced and Expert Women’s Imaging Services

The combination of cutting-edge technology, expert staff, and a wide range of services distinguishes Coastal Medical Imaging from other facilities. The centre continues to fulfill its founders’ vision of delivering world-class imaging and radiology services to enhance the health and well-being of Sunshine Coast residents.
