HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Booking an Appointment
Most exams and procedures, including CT scans and ultrasounds, require an appointment, which can be scheduled over Appointments are required for most imaging exams and procedures, including CT scans and ultrasounds. These can be scheduled by calling any of our clinics. Plain X-Ray exams, such as chest X-Rays, generally do not require an appointment, though certain specialised scans may. If you are unsure, please contact your nearest clinic for clarification.

We understand that some patients may feel nervous about their procedure, so our team aims to schedule appointments as quickly and conveniently as possible. Pre-examination instructions will be provided by our reception staff when you book.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

  • Referral/Request Form: A medicolegal requirement for your scan and necessary for Medicare rebate processing.
  • Previous Reports or Images: Relevant past imaging or reports related to your current procedure.
  • Medicare Card: Required to process your Medicare rebate.
  • Concession Cards: Health Care, Pension, or DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs) cards, if applicable.
  • WorkCover Details: If your scan is related to a workplace injury, bring your employer’s insurance information and claim number.

Note: Coastal Medical Imaging accepts all referral forms from any provider.

ARRIVAL

Please arrive at the clinic 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any required paperwork and registration. Be sure to bring your referral and any relevant imaging or reports to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

PAYMENT/BILLING POLICY

Coastal Medical Imaging offers bulk billing for most Medicare-eligible services. Please speak with our reception staff for further details.
